Düdle in the Classroom!
As an intermediate school art teacher, I love using Düdle in my classroom as whole class game or as an independent station activity. My students love it because it is fun and silly. I love it because it encourages creativity and problem solving while strengthening cross-curricular language arts skills! Not to mention is a great answer to the age old problem of "I don't know what to draw!"
The game can easily be adjusted for different age levels by including more or fewer cards.
With my older kids I play with the full rules: 1 adj, 2 nouns, 1 verb, 1 adverb.
With my 5th graders I play with the adjectives, nouns, and verbs.
With my 3rd and 4th graders I play with adjectives and nouns.
With my littlest kids I play by just using compound nouns.
Düdle would make a great addition to any classroom game library, not just the art room or language arts room. It encourages creative problem solving, strengthens a student's grasp on parts of speech, and reinforces vocabulary and synonyms. Students learn more when they are having fun so considering adding Düdle to your list of classroom activities today!
